Data-base for Energy consumption of Commercial building

Explanation of the structure of DECC Public Data-base

  • Public Data-base is composed of buildings information collected by the investigation from 2007 to 2011.
  • Public Data-base contains following two information.
    (1)Individual Information(CSV file is compressed to ZIP file): Building information anonymized
    (2)Statistics Processing Information(PDF file is compressed to ZIP file): Statistics processing information used by (1) as a population
  • Individual Information is composed of “Building info.”, “Energy Consumption”, “Water Consumption”.
  • Statistics Processing Information is composed of “The number of Buildings, according to Region and Building Activity”, “Total Floor Area, according to Region and Building Activity”, “Annual Primary Energy Consumption per Unit Area, according to Region and Building Activity”, and so on.

  • The items of the data included in “Building Info.”, “Energy Consumption”, “Water Consumption” show followings.

1.Building Attribute Information

(1)Building ID *1 Survey Region ID (Alphabet) + Building Activity ID (2 digits) + Serial numbers (6 digits) (Refer to Table - 1)
(2)Region *1 Distribution of Region on the Extended Degree day Method (Refer to Figure ? 1, Table - 2)
(3)Building Activity Name of Building Activity
(4)Ownership and Occupancy Ownership or Occupancy
(5)Building Floor Area
(Excluding indoor Parking Area)
  1. Floor Area , under 300m2
  2. Floor Area, more than 300m2 and under 2,000m2
  3. Floor Area, more than 2,000m2 and under 10,000m2
  4. Floor Area, more than 10,000m2 and under 30,000m2
  5. Floor Area, more than 30,000m2
(6)Year Constructed Rounding down the one’s place
(7)Number of Floors Divided by Above ground, Under ground Unit :Floor
